Browser Configuration for the Plain Proxy

There are various methods on how to configure your browsers to use the plain proxy. The most straightforward one is to directly point the browser to the proxy in the options. The following section indicates how this can be done.

Microsoft Edge

Just set the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) or IP address that the proxy listens on in Proxy Settings app as shown on the following screenshot (Microsoft Windows 10). Note, here we assume our proxy installed on IP address 192.168.4.30 and listens on port 8080.

Google Chrome

Google Chrome uses the same system proxy settings as Microsoft Edge.

Mozilla Firefox

The IP address and port of the proxy can be set in Options / Proxy tab. It is also possible to force the Firefox to use the configured system proxy settings by the Use system proxy settings option.
