Proxy Address and Port Settings

Web Filtering Proxy accepts connections from the client browsers on the following two TCP ports.

  • Plain conventional HTTP proxy connections are accepted on port 8080 - a well-known port designated for proxies. The IP address to listen on is set as 0.0.0.0 meaning all IPv4 addresses assigned to the machine.
  • Secure HTTPS proxy connections are accepted on port 8443 with IP address also set to 0.0.0.0. Note, this module needs additional configuration in order to work correctly.

You can adjust these settings in Admin UI / Web Filtering Proxy / Proxy Settings.

Do not forget to Restart the Web Filtering Proxy service in order for the changes to be applied.
